Donnie Walker, Jon Burden, Judy Brown, and Marv Walker make up Carefree Highway. Based in Nelson, BC, this group of longtime musical friends shares its love of Gordon Lightfoot’s songs with audiences near and far.

Donnie founded the group in 2026 with his brother Marv on drums and Judy Brown on bass. The lineup now features Jon Burden on guitar, sharing lead vocals with Don. Their first live performance was fittingly held on Canada Day at Lakeside Park in Nelson, where they celebrated the timeless songs of Canadian singer-songwriter icon Gordon Lightfoot.

 Together, these musicians bring years of experience, friendship, and musicianship to every performance.
